Unseen Sound - Interactive Web Experience
An interactive web-based installation of Unseen Sound by Andy Slater, built with New Art City. Designed as a nonvisual experience, the work uses spatial audio and text to guide visitors through an imagined sonic environment, foregrounding listening as a mode of navigation, access, and worldbuilding. This is the same experience that was used in the exhibition, with the computer in the gallery set to this web interactive. However, whereas in the exhibition at the Beall Center visitors either heard sound through headphones or viewed captions, here there is an integrated experience with both sound and captions that Slater describes as "a non-visual experience accompanied by real-time captions.”
